Main Neartail quickstart

Create a menu, review the customer order, and find the submission ready for preparation.

Build one small menu and follow it through the full order cycle before sharing it with customers. You will need a Google account and a short list of products with their prices.

Create your form

Open Neartail and choose Try it free, or choose Create new form from your signed-in dashboard.

Choose the starting material you already have.

Choose the appropriate route:

  • Import your Google Forms when your products and customer questions already exist in a form.
  • Convert your menu to an order form when you have a menu to bring into the builder.
  • Enter your form name when you want to start from a description of the form.

Review the generated or imported result. Confirm every product's name, unit, price, and options before publishing it. See creation methods.

Add a small menu

In Edit, add or open your products. For this example, use one bowl at $8 and a small soup at $4. Include a customer name, email, and a pickup date or collection instruction.

Open product settings to check the price and whether it is sold by quantity, weight, or options. Use the products guide when setting up variants or add-ons.

Check the customer total

Open Preview. Choose two bowls and one small soup: the product subtotal should be $20 before any tax, delivery fee, or discount. Change a quantity and check that the summary changes with it.

Check a known order before you accept customer submissions.

Choose how you will collect payment. Follow payment setup for card collection, manual instructions, or pay later. Keep your confirmation message clear about the next step.

Share and submit an example order

Open Share, copy the customer-facing link, and open that link separately. Complete the form as a customer would. Use your own email if you are checking a confirmation message.

Confirm that the submitted products, quantities, customer details, and amount are correct in Responses. A successful form preview alone does not create an order.

Prepare and fulfill

Use the Responses board to track the order. For several orders, use production reports and packing lists to total meal quantities and separate each customer's items.

Before distributing the link, check your current menu, ordering window, availability, payment instructions, and confirmation email. You can then repeat the same workflow for your next menu.
