Categories and product navigation

Group a menu into useful categories and help customers review a complete cart.

Categories help customers browse a larger menu without reading one long list. Use categories that match how customers choose, such as Meals, Sides, and Drinks.

Organize the form

In Edit, use headings to group products on one page, or create separate pages for larger categories. Keep each product under the intended heading or page. Reorder the sections and products so the most useful choices appear first.

Use Rearrange pages when changing the order of a multipage form. Preview the full sequence after moving a page.

Choose a browsing layout

The form's layout affects how products and descriptions appear. A card layout gives product details more room, while a compact layout can suit a short repeat-order menu. Check the result in Preview.

Ordering features can include category overview, quick navigation, product search, and cart review. Enable the relevant controls offered for your form rather than asking customers to move through unnecessary pages.

Keep the cart useful

A customer should be able to review selected items, change a quantity, and remove an item before submitting. Test this with products from two categories and confirm the summary includes both.

Do not place an extra fee or discount where it looks like another product the customer must select. Keep the final amount and fulfillment details easy to find after product selection.

Review a long menu on a phone

Open the customer link on a phone-sized screen. Check navigation labels, long product names, images, option selectors, and the path back to the order summary.

For a rotating menu, keep category names stable where possible and change the products offered within them. See the weekly meal prep workflow.
