Pickup and delivery details
Collect the customer and handoff information your staff need with every order.
A complete order includes both the items and a clear handoff. Collect the information your team will use to prepare, label, and deliver or release the order.
Choose the handoff questions
| Question | Useful for |
|---|---|
| Customer name | Identifying the bag or collection |
| Confirmation and order reference | |
| Phone | Time-sensitive delivery or pickup coordination |
| Pickup or delivery | Choosing the correct workflow and fee |
| Date or collection window | Grouping work for the right day |
| Address and delivery area | Preparing delivery instructions and charges |
| Order notes | Necessary customer instructions |
State which days or collection windows you actually offer. A free-text date or note should not be presented as guaranteed capacity.
Add the fields
In Edit, place customer questions after the product choices or in a clear customer-details page. Mark information required only when the business needs it to fulfill that order.
Use the form's branching controls where appropriate to keep pickup customers from filling delivery-only questions. If you maintain branching in the underlying Google Form, launch it from the editor's advanced settings.
Map customer identity
Open Configure key fields and map the name, email, phone, and customer identifier questions you use. These mappings help the Responses board and notifications show useful customer information.
Include the promise in the confirmation
Tell customers where to collect, which date or window applies, and how to contact you for a change. If payment must be completed before preparation, state that next step clearly.
Prepare the handoff
Use packing or pickup lists with customer name, selected items, and the relevant date or address. Check the list against an example order before staff rely on it.
For a changing weekly menu, use ordering deadlines to protect the preparation window.
