Build and edit a form

Use Neartail's editor to add products, customer questions, sections, and submission instructions.

Open a form from your dashboard and select Edit. This is where you maintain the current menu and the questions that make an order complete. Newly generated forms can open in a simplified menu editor; a Switch action labeled Prefer a WYSIWYG editor? opens the visual editing mode.

Review the product's price and quantity choices, then add the questions your order needs.

Start in the menu editor

The simplified editor presents an outline of the form. Product cards include the name, image controls such as Upload image or Generate, Price, and quantity or option settings. Review every product and the customer questions below it. Generated prices and currency may need correction to match your source.

Use Ready to see your form? → Preview form to inspect the customer view. The footer controls add questions, titles, images, videos, and pages. Use the Switch action if you prefer the WYSIWYG editor described below.

Structure the order in the visual editor

Place products first in a useful browsing order, then ask for the details needed to fulfill the order. Use headings or pages for categories when the menu is long.

The add controls let you insert questions, titles and descriptions, images, videos, and pages. The visual editor's form toolbar includes preview, banner, layout, and advanced settings. Use Add product where offered for products with a selling unit and price; use questions for customer information such as name or pickup preference.

Edit a question

Select the question to change its title, answer type, choices, or Required setting. Open its gear for field settings:

Tab or settingUse it for
QuestionTitle, description, placeholder, and question image
Answer → AppearanceEditable, read only, office use, or hidden answers
Answer → PrefillA starting answer
Answer → CalculateA calculation using fields and supported functions
Answer → ValidationRules that the answer must satisfy

Use @ to choose a form field instead of typing a field's internal identifier. Review calculated fields with a known example before sharing.

Edit the whole form

Open the form's Advanced setting gear. Header contains the title, description, and banner. Appearance contains layout and theme controls. Advanced includes locale, form closure, progress display, and submission to Google Forms.

Configure key fields maps name, email, phone, and other response details to the questions in your form. Review these mappings after renaming or replacing customer questions.

Set the final customer step

At the submit area, configure the button caption and the behavior after submission. You can keep a confirmation message, customize the message, or use a redirect where offered. Tell customers what to expect about pickup, delivery, or payment.

Saving a question, product, or settings panel commits the change to that form. Preview the customer-facing link after each significant change. Continue with customization and sharing.
